By using Virakiyava (විරැකියාව) you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

1. Our service

Virakiyava is an online job board that displays vacancies from government institutions, private companies and our administrators. We are not an employer or a recruitment agency, and we do not guarantee that any job will lead to an interview or employment.

2. Job seekers

• Browsing and applying through the site is free and requires no account.
• Applications are sent to the employer through the link or email provided in the job post. You are responsible for the information you give to employers.
• Beware of scams. Legitimate employers do not ask applicants to pay money to get a job. If a post asks you for payment, please report it to us.

3. Company accounts

• Companies must register with accurate information and provide details or documents for verification. We may approve, reject, suspend or remove any account at our discretion.
• You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your account.
• Only authorized representatives may register a company.

4. Job posts

• All job posts are reviewed by our administrators and may be approved, edited, rejected or removed without notice.
• Posts must be genuine, accurate, lawful and non-discriminatory, and must not charge applicants any fee.
• Images and logos you link to must belong to you or be used with permission.
• Posts must not contain misleading, offensive or illegal content, or promote anything unrelated to a real vacancy.

5. Prohibited use

You must not copy or scrape the site in bulk, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, upload malicious code, or use the site for fraud or harassment.

6. Intellectual property

The Virakiyava name, logo, design and software belong to us and our developers. Company names, logos and job content belong to their respective owners, who grant us permission to display them on the site.

7. Disclaimer

The site and all content are provided “as is”. We try to keep information accurate but do not guarantee that job posts are complete, current or error-free, or that the site will be uninterrupted.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, any job post, or any dealings between job seekers and employers.

9. Third-party links

We are not responsible for the content or policies of external websites linked from job posts.

10. Privacy

Our use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes and termination

We may change these Terms or suspend the service at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction.
